Who Am I ?

Previously I had a successful career as a Senior Civil Designer, Civil and Structural Senior Technical and design officer, Design, Consultant Designer and Project Manager. However, my life changed significantly in 2016 due to an injury.

Through resilience and perseverance, I became an advanced practitioner in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT Tapping) and advanced accredited practitioner in Life Coaching.  I am also an Art Therapy Practitioner and enjoy exploring the medium of watercolours.

Combining life skills from my professional background as well as challenging life events I have discovered that by changing limiting beliefs, blocks, emotional attachment to past events and trauma, we can be free to balance our perception of our past, relieve stress and release negative emotions to create a new future. 

With compassion, integrity, professionalism, knowledge and experience, I keep the balance for clients in creating a safe space for disclosure and gently offer techniques and skills to get positive results and changed outcomes so the “triggers” that we hold onto are gone.

What is EFT?

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a brief self-applied stress reduction technique using elements of cognitive therapy, with physical stimulation of acupuncture points. It is often referred to as 'Tapping' as it uses a two finger tapping process on known acupuncture points.

How does it work?

The mechanisms behind EFT include deactivation of the amygdala (stress centre) in the brain and hippocampus (memory centre) as well as recent research into vagal nerve improvement. EFT has also been shown to significantly lower cortisol levels, which is the stress hormone.

Gai is amazing! I had never done EFT Tapping before and was not sure what to expect. Gai is so kind and knowledgeable and really helped me work through my blocks around my strengths and abilities during academic tests. Our sessions helped me find the motivation I needed to study and perform well.
